Aspiring Business Developer, Account Manager
I am a 20 year old North Carolina native. Ever since my economics class in high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in business. The passion my teacher had is something I knew I would have majoring in either math or business. To me, business seems not only practical, but crucial to learn about for the "real-world." Everything is business-related.
Because I am a first generation college student, I don't have parent(s) who are able to guide me in making financial decisions. Taking my principles of finance class helped me feel as if I can confidently make independent financial decisions. Understanding and calculating how long it will take me to pay off my future mortgage is something many of my peers cannot do, and something I pride myself in. I have always known majoring in Business was the right thing for me to do. Because I am already majoring in Marketing, I have decided to add a finance minor to my undergraduate plan as well.
Being outgoing, I appreciate valuable relationships with others. This pushed me to focus my career in sales which will utilize my passion for fostering meaningful relationships. I believe developing relationships with trust and understanding is crucial to maintaining a life of joy.

In my free time, I enjoy listening to a variety of different podcasts, spending times with my friends, and exploring Sorrento as well as traveling to other cities. I believe traveling during this semester has helped my cultural competency as well as willingness to explore cultures different from my own.
